Jun 20, 2019 Both my Windows 10 machines have the same problem. Malwarebytes Premium prevents Edge and Chrome browsers from working if Web protection is on. The browsers just spin. Everything is fine if I switch it off but then I dont have this component.

According to Fortune, Google engineer Justin Schuh recently came across a major security flaw that’s made the browser vulnerable to hackers, and while the company hasn’t really released any specifics, they’re urging anyone who uses it to surf the web on their computer to update as soon as possible.

As the article notes, Chrome usually automatically updates on a regular basis, but if you want to make sure you have the latest patch, you’re going to want to follow these steps:
- Click the “…” in the upper right corner of the browser
- Hit “Help”
- Select “About Chrome” from the popout menu
Chrome will scan for an update, and even if it’s installed, you may have to relaunch your browser for it to take effect.
